A Case of Multiple Lymphomatous Polyposis involving the Entire Gastrointestinal Tract

Abstract
|
|
|
A case of multiple lymphomatous polyposis is reported.
This 44-year-old female patient was admitted with complaint of intermittent colicky pain , in the right lower, quadrant. X-ray film of barium enema showed coiled-spring appearance in the cecum. Both gastroscopy and colonofiberscopy showed multiple polyps in the gastric antrum and entire distal colon respectively.
At operation, there were an intestinal invagination in the ileocecal region and palpable multiple polyps in the stomach, small intestine and large intestine without involvement of adjacent organs except, regional lymph nodes.
She died 22 months later after. initial symptom with involvement of left supraclavicular lymph node, left lacrimal gland and both parotid glandsone after another.
